Corporate Workshops

Corporate services pageFood, fun and team building!

This program is a corporate experience actively designed to look after your employees’ total wellbeing by combining food, fun and team building.

It recognises the key role good nutrition and lifestyle choices play in keeping you energetic, alert and emotionally balanced, enabling you to manage stress more effectively, and to make better decisions.

Studies show that healthy workers take a fraction of the sick leave unhealthy workers do (two vs 18 days per annum), and are three times more productive to boot. Presenteeism, which describes the lack of engagement of unhealthy employees when they are actually at work, cost the Australian economy over $34 billion according to a 2009/10 study.

It surprises many to learn that, not only do 28% of workers eat quickly at their desk, but 33% skip lunch altogether! The loss of productivity through reduced energy levels is astounding, and that doesn’t even take into account the quality of diet (62% of workers are overweight).

Make your workplace a happier, healthier, more energetic one by providing your bodies with the nutrients that are natural to it. Pretty soon, your team will have no weak links, and be pumping with vitality and creativity.

Each session is a series of 45-60 minute demonstrations, presentations and interactive mini-workshop that inspires, educates and builds bonds all based around easy-to–create, healthy recipes plus lifestyle  information and tips for corporate employees. And yes, that means the men too!

Individual workshops or a series of classes can be booked,  which are easy, fun, hands-on, and which dispel many myths and food trends.

Benefits of Workshops

Research shows that maintaining good health has significant, positive flow-on effects to a person’s outlook and demeanour and, therefore, relationships and work performance.

For example:

Productivity and High Performance

Improving your employee’s nutritional intake will make them feel more energetic, focused and creative, which helps to improve productivity.

Exercise is also a crucial ingredient. Given almost 80% of work-time is sedentary, which increases the risks of serious diseases such as heart disease and diabetes, physical activity is crucial to maintaining optimal health.

Employees with a good ‘engine’ give you more ‘output’.

Save Money with fewer sick days

Time is money! Multiple sick days have a measurable monetary cost, particularly in a team environment where there are significant interdependencies.

Not only do unhealthy workers have nine times more sick days than healthy employees, but their ‘self-rated’ performance of 3.7 out of 10 is less than half the 8.5 score healthy candidates awarded themselves.

So, ensure your workforce is operating as close to their physical and mental capacity as possible.

Increased Energy Levels

Watch the effects on individual and team performance of employees who can sustain a high-quality level of work.

Sharper focus and ability to concentrate

Never miss an opportunity or overlook detail through fatigue or indifference. Good health and positive disposition help to instil a natural focus.

More than half of Australian employees feel overwelmed with stress, which has causal links to anxiety, cardiovascular disease and other bodily disorders. Ultimately, stress can be extremely costly at both personal and business levels.

Engaged and Harmonious Workplace

A healthy, happy employee is a productive one. A content and bonded team is even better!

Avoid afternoon sugar naps and mood swings

Artificial stimulants are only temporary. Often, the ‘let downs’ and mood swings that result from it outweigh the short term boost to energy levels.

Optimal nutrition & lifestyle choices  ensure that energy is spread more evenly through the day, greatly enhancing concentration, focus, creativity and output.
